Newcomer / Intro Federal security forces hate me!

Hello guys! I have a question.

You see, I decided to go bounty hunter with my eagle and it worked pretty well. I saw an anaconda, Dangerous level, with a bounty of 30k credits. Not for me, though, but as I saw the federal security forces engaging it, I said "ok, that's my chanc". I joined the battle and.. BINGO! I got the bounty!

Funny enough, it seems that I accidentally shoot a federation vessel, as I got a wanted bounty and I was shot down short after. D'oh! God bless the insurance, right .

I went back with my (new) eagle to bounty and, once again, I joined the federal forces to hunt big preys. Cool, isn't it? But suddenly, the Federal security forces started attacking me! And I didn't have any bounty over my head, I checked (I ran away, went to an station and checked my criminal records: clean).

Anyone knows what happened in there?

You may have a fine in another system.

yea, u have to be careful of friendly fire, but if it happens again, and it still does to a vet like me, just jet as soon as it happens and jump to SC. normally the cops r still focused on the wanted ship and u can escape. then make sure u get all ur fines cleared when u dock.

Funny, as this was the first time I ever shoot something, so I don't see how can I have a bounty in another system :S. I'll have to check out...

Also check your reputation with the local faction, it might not be all Feds, just the Fed-aligned faction that controls that system.

Plus, keep in mind that bounties are separate from fines. Fines turn into bounties after a delay.

I did not read that you paid off the bounty you were give before being destroyed?
