Federation Mission to Ross 128

Okay, so I've got the permit and gone to Ross 128, where I need to meet some person for the mission.

Can I find them, nope - tried flying around into USS's and zero.

Any idea what I am missing or need to do? (tried doing a search on this and come up with zilch!).

You don't have to do anything. You got promoted and received the permit that allows you to visit this system. The wording isn't great and leads people to believe there is a mission to follow when in fact there's not.

Pretty much this yeah: no mission, don't even have to go there, invitation will go away once you earn even more rep/higher rank, permit will stay regardless.

OK great thanks - I was a little confused and the wording probably doesn't help, or I'm just being a little dumb by trying to read to much into the messaging.....

The mission text is a troll. Other than allowing your FSD computer to plot jumps to that system, getting the permit does nothing for you.
