Federation pilots: a call to action!

Calling all those who fight for the Federation...

You may or may not be aware that the influence of Archon Delaine and his pirate scum is spreading across the galaxy like a plague of locusts. Many systems, including those part of the Federation, live in fear of his oppressive rule, and those who dare oppose him are brutally executed in public displays, and their families sold into slavery. This must end. We must take action against this fiend!

Several Empire factions are already striking out against him, and have been noticed by Galnet. Yet we have sat idle, while he continues to fester on the fringes of Federation space. Is this what we want the history books to say in the future: that we sat idly by while this scumbag spread his filth through system after system, and only the Empire had the strength to oppose him? Are we to let it be known that we sat idly by while our own people - people loyal to the Federation, who pay Federation taxes, stood alone and abandoned? Are we to let it be known that the Federation cannot even protect its own people?

I say the time for action is now, but I can't do this alone. I alone cannot hope to make enough of a difference to even shift the balance of power in a single system by so much as one percent (and trust me, I have tried). But together, with enough of us, maybe we can. We must find systems that Delaine has targetted for expansion, join up with the resistance, and blow up as many of his ships as we can. Together, we can end his reign of terror throughout the galaxy!

This line isn't secure, we can't coordinate actions here. However, I am pleased to report that collective efforts have managed to prevent expansion into the CD-22 12617 system. Unfortunately we were unable to prevent expansion into Huichi and Kachigirin. but attempts to undermine control in those systems are already underway.

If enough of us are interested, maybe we can find a secure channel on which to plan our efforts. Delaine will soon learn what it means to try to rule over Federation citizens...we will never be slaves!

I think we need secure line! If you can establish it, that'll be great! Also we need to gather Fed pilots, with coord and enough pilots to operate we'll stop Archon.

Latest update from what I've now decided to call Operation Hydra: Delaine has failed to capture the 44 G Aquilae system, which is the system where I have been focussing my efforts, though that could be in part due to him having to divide his forces to fight a war on two fronts.

What concerns me, however, is that Delaine currently holds over 100 Federation systems under his iron grip. He holds nowhere near that many Imperial systems; it's clear whom he prefers to tangle with, thinking of us as weak. However, with most of his forces deployed against the Empire, now is the time to put the pressure on, and who knows? Maybe we can help end this scourge for the good of all!

(Fineprint: I am required to inform you that Operation Hydra is in no way sanctioned by the Federal Navy, who will deny any knowledge in the event of a capture.)

Latest report from Operation Hydra:

Both the Ngam and Chique systems, as well as a few others, have been saved from Delaine's control. Furthermore, the number of Federation systems held by this fiend have been reduced from 140 to 132. We are making progress, and may yet break his stranglehold. I do not know if this is coincidence, or due to any positive action on our part, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank any Federation pilots who have responded to this call - message me with tales of your deeds and I will thank you personally.

The Imperials are faring far better, however, as Delaine only controls 17 of their systems. Compared to them, we still look bad, but at least we can no longer be accused of apathy, as we have recently been in a recent news report. Be advised that Patreus may well attempt to expand into Delaine's space once he is crippled, and it might be wise to establish a foothold in the region before this happens.

Long live the Federation!

Unfortunately I have been forced to temporarily suspend Operation Hydra, due to the fact that half the galaxy seems to have suddenly decided to declare war on the Federation. We must therefore look to our own borders, and, having reviewed the situation, I will be focusing my efforts elsewhere until further notice.

But I will be back! Delaine will not escape the wrath of the Federation forever.
