anyone know the fastest way to pop 4 ranks the federal corvette is the only ship i dont own and i want it bad

I found Empire fair easy fed not so I hear people say donation missions but I can never find them
systems in boom are the way to go, im doing mine and done 4 ranks in 2 days.
i was first at sothis & ceos doing missions between them, these had both boom time delivery and donation missions.
When that was no longer in boom i went to NIU HSING and COL 285 SECTOR YF-M C8-8 and continued there.
Then that dried up boom was gone, now im just looking for systems in boom and doing missions that way, its slower than the two i mentioned but its still do able.
I have done 5 ranks in 3 days, and im about 12% post captain now, so last rank until i get the corvette
Cant wait, but really i could do with those systems back in boom as it was much easier that way and quicker.

Should start appearing once you increase rep with some hauling missions.
This. It got me the last few ranks I needed. Gets a little dull, but much better than Sothis.

The best reputation increasing missions are boom delivery and planetary scans, though keep an eye out for assassination missions too. Boom data delivery missions don't make many credits, but the planetary scan ones do. I did my Empire ranking in Wuthielo Ku (and surrounding systems - rarely had to make more than one jump between stops). Two of the factions were in Civil War (good for the planetary scan missions) and most of the others were in boom. When allied, this is almost the ideal set-up.
So, it shouldn't really matter where you are, just take note of the system and faction states, and gain rep with the local factions. I haven't done much Federation ranking yet, so don't have any suggestions as to where to do it (I did test out Ceos and Sothis, but they didn't seem particularly fruitful to me - just like Quince turned into a lame duck after the nerfing).

Is that two straight days of gameplay with a toilet for a seat?

Federation I made Ensign to Rear Admiral in 5 days.
No mode switching required - just had to find the right places and do the missions.
The single best places to look are fringe systems around the edge of the bubble. Why? Because they have a limited number of factions, and a limited number of destinations.
1-2 jumps, and you'll spend your time running around in circles, back and forth, but you're making rank the whole time.
The permit-locked systems like Sol or Achenar are also good, as all missions are Empire/Federation, but can lead to impure systems, which can then limit your access to additional missions.
You'll spend the first day pretty much just building rep with the local factions, up to Allied, and the rest of the time just running missions, and you'll be done in no time. It's really not that hard, just takes some time and effort.

I am in Sol at the moment grinding Fed rank.
It's going really well, have been playing on and off since last week and so far i have ranked up from lieutenant to post commander.
The stations around Earth are all service stations and only ship out biowaste to the agri systems in the neighborhood.
You can combine the 'boom-delivery' poo-missions with the 'source-food' missions.
Also plenty of donation missions.
