I've seen threads about this already and tried everything and still can't seem to find any federal navy missions I've visited 30 or so systems that I'm cordial or more and got nothing. Can anyone help with this.

Not sure exactly all what's going on in your game but you have to be in a Fed controlled system and at a certain rep level with a faction as you mentioned. I am unsure if this faction has to be the controlling faction of the station.
But what I really came on here to say is that, unlike the old days (where the mission clearly said promotion mission) the mission title can be vague but look for any that have the word "Fed Navy", "Navy", and "Naval" in it. I just ranked up this morning.
IIRC the word "promotion" is not mentioned anywhere even in the mission description.

I've read a bunch of the other thread's and haven't gained any incites. Going to try closer to Hudsons home system to see if that helps.
I too have wondered about this as I am Allied with the Federation with a 98% rating and allied with quite a few Fed Factions scattered around the bubble. The latest place I've been hanging out is Rana - left there last week, though looking for somwhere with a bit more excitement and an opportunity to make the money I need to upgrade my Python's powerplant to A level.
I've been allied to the Fed and at least 5 fed factions for a long while - over a month at least - and in all that time I got one mission and it was a smuggling mission of all things.
So what has to be done to get federal Navy missions?
I found one at LS 1541 federal navy courier job. Took to long to find it probably spend 1 mill credits in fuel. They need to fix the spawn rate of this type of mission
I was stuck at Post Captain for several weeks at 100% no Fed ranking missions showing up anywhere, nothing I tried got one to appear. Then just visiting a fed station, that I think I'd not been to before, 3 fed Rank missions appeared but I have no idea really what triggered this.
Never had the same problem with any other rank nor with imperial missions.

Just completed the courier one and have 3 at this station. It's crazy how the game works
As far as I know.
The missions wont show up until you are 100% on your current rank.
Once you are 100% they will start popping up all over the place from federal contacts at stations.
Even if you dont have enough rep to take the mission you will still be able to see it.
Dont worry ....... Any Navy rep you gain will still be added to you. When you eventually rank up you will immediately jump up the relevant %. So you might be at say 30% straight away.

^^^ This is how it had always been for me.
Like all missions, they are based on the RNG, so when and where they show up is randomized. That means that sometimes you can have a long string of 'bad rolls' and not see any. And then suddenly they start showing up.
It's like flipping a coin and getting heads 50 times in a row. You'd think there was no tails, but it's really just luck messing with you.

I did what you said and it worked! I found a mission called Federal Navy courrier transport or something like that and at the end I got my promotion! Thank you for your help!
