Horizons Federation Ranking Help Request

Hi all!

I just finished my grind of ranking up missions in the Empire after a long and exhausting process and looking to move into the Federation ranking system next. Does anyone have any useful methods for doing these? I have been searching for a couple of days for viable information but non seems to be up to date. I am looking more for data missions circuit or donations and not so much with the massacre missions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pick any large Fed system and help the largest Fed faction there exclusively to increase your rank the fastest.
Worked for me.
Also watch for any CGs that involve the Feds and do those too.

When you say help them exclusively can you be a bit more detailed? Did you do data missions, massacres or something else?

Also I have checked several tonight and so far most of them are slim pickings for missions that can be solo'd for less than 20 minutes worth of work and then only offering 1% increase at the rank of None which is the starting point. I find it hard to believe that it will take over 1200 missions to rank up high enough for corvette?

Yes, hard to believe indeed. That's because it will take more than 1200 since at the higher ranks one mission only gives you a fraction of a percent of progression...... On a side note, I've heard the Tun system provides a lot of data courier missions

Getting Allied with a specific station is a good idea. I did all me Federal ranking work at Solo Orbiter in Altair. Lots of really good missions and good money.

But... Like any missions... You need to be Allied for the best ones, so it pays to pick a system you like and STAY THERE. In addition to Solo Orbiter, there are also several other bases and outposts you can get access to the same set of mission givers.

Altair is also in a prime location, with dozens of other great systems less than 15Ly away from each other. Makes the need for a high range FSD pretty much moot.

Plus from Altair you have a good base to run Rares for extra cash if you want.
