Federation station not crediting bounties?

So I've been hanging out in Al-Din Prospect, in Alpha Centauri, of late and I've noticed that this station does not want to acknowledge bounties. Despite being a station in Federation space with no discernible differences. I wouldn't mind normally but the only other station in Alpha Centauri is 0.22 Light YEARS away. This means having to jump system just to cash in any bounties I earn in AC.

Is this the normal way of things? I would have assumed that if I couldn't cash in bounties here due to the station lacking the facilities, like the black market, that it wouldn't even be selectable.

Any word on this? Thanks folks! :)

Yeah, that's exactly the issue. Even local, system-specific bounties cannot be cashed here.

To be clear for others, it's not saying I have 60k to cash but refusing to let me. The problem is that it literally says ''You have no bounties to cash'', despite me sitting on 60k of vouchers.

Only Hutton Orbital in Alpha Centauri can pay out system bounties.

The Al-Din Prospect station belongs to a minority faction and doesnt have system control.

Ahh I see, so that's how the mechanic works. I had no idea.

Well that's a shame, given that Hutton Orbital might as well be a full-blown FSD Jump away. I'll just keep using next-door's stations, it's quicker than travelling 0.22ly just to cash in bounties.

Without a quicker way to travel, stations like Hutton Orbital feel almost functionally useless. Nice from a sim-gameplay perspective, but just useless in actuality.

Still seem to have the issue. Can't cash fed bounties in fed system. Also got shot up by local police for shooting a wanted NPC who was affiliated to the lowest faction in the system.

If I had a cent for every time I repeat this...
You can't cash bounties at a station that does't belong to federation. Check the damn system map.
Police doesn't like you shooting their friends, even if they are wanted. Don't shoot members of the minor faction that owns the system if you're scared of police.

It doesn't always happen - that's my point.
Perhaps I should check the manual - oh.. there isn't one. So We'll all keep on guessing or assuming then.
