The situation in system Ross 128 (captured a few months ago by the Alliance) is getting worse. Alliance LHS 2541 Alliance Combine faction gained 25% influence during the last 24 hrs and 1 of the 3 (weakening) Federation factions will most probably have to retreat from the system VERY soon. The Federation strongest faction (Social Ross 128 Coalition) lost almost 10 percent influence here since yesterday. I have no idea how the Alliance achieved such a huge boost in such a short time. Probably they sold tons of exploration data. I did what I did what could to boost Federation influence here the past few days, but all these actions were fruitless so far. If the situation does not improve swiftly, Dumta and Luhman 16 Systems are next - all right next to Sol. Are there any countermeasures ongoing to reverse recent Alliance gains in Ross 128? If that is the case, please let me know.

Ross 128 has been an Alliance system since July and it's late September now.
Luhman 16 is full and won't take anymore inbound expansions. Sol is God-locked by Frontier or Hutton Truckers and Earth Defenese Fleet and that Alliance faction would already have gone in there; and the other Ross 128 factions are native so they won't retreat anywhere.
Is this another "innocent trader caught up in someone else's war" thread?
It seems to be a pretty regular trope with the Feds these days.
Just to remind you: Ross 128 is a toxic hard labour maximum security Prison Mine. Where capital punishment was reinstated just to reduce the overcrowding. The lore around this place is nasty - and those defending it are not on the side of the good and the just.

Hmm, and all of a sudden, Imperial citizens whom CHOOSE to volunteer for indentured service to clear their debts doesn't seem at all wrong considering THIS kind of alternative.

What the Alliance doesn't realise is that it's all a managed retreat. So when the Thargoids come calling and laying waste to systems, the Alliance will get the blame for not being able to defend their systems
