ok hi all when bounty hunting in the rings of a planet and you hit a fed by mistake instead of them all comeing after you and destroying you why cant we just pay a fine at the hub I see lots of wanted ships flying around with the feds and they don't all go tearing after them so how about a fine instead of death

You do get a fine for assault, it usually lasts about 9 minutes and can be got rid of by flying out of the instance and jumping out of the system for the 9 minutes, when the transactions tab says "On H-Jump" jump back into the system, go to a station and pay the 400Cr fine off. Bingo, not wanted anymore. As for why they attack you and not the other wanted ships, you have just attacked them and by extension, their wing, so you are a higher priority than a ship with a bounty that hasn't attacked them yet.
