Feedback from a long time NoLimits builder

First: Amazing game!

Coaster builder improvements:

  • Ability to test run from a specific track piece
  • Slider for track length
  • Straighten tool
  • Custom supports
  • Catwalks on/off

Suggestions:
In general more visual feedback in the UI when coaster building (if that makes sense). Example: When you move the track / change banking, the original position could be shown as white and transparent. Also grid for coaster building would be nice.

The first person view is a bit choppy even when spending a lot of time trying to build a very smooth coaster, but the smooth tool is really great!

Building tools improvements:

When you press esc the item you "advanced edited" snaps back into its original place, this doesn't feel intuitive

General
  • Set time of day
  • Z-fighting. Textures popping in and out when objects collide.

Cool things to add:
  • Backwards launch ala Big Grizzly Mountain - Disneyland Hong Kong!
  • Ropes would be cool! :D

Great suggestions, I would also like to add the ability to add functioning transfer tracks, both for storage of trains but also to add a unique element to a ride for example I saw a no limits 2 dive coaster with a reverse launch section. I tried to find it but couldn't but it's somewhere on youtube :/
 
I agree a straighten tool would be really useful between two track sections. Would make trying to build things like custom vertical loops much easier.

I would like to have a visual indication of track length (or a slider as you suggest) so you can build precise things more consistently.

Also height markers on tracks (I'm sure these will come, they were in previous games).
