Hello ED team
I would like to give some feedback after some frustrating hours of playing ED on my PC. I really like this game! The general approach and the atmosphere are great but there are some issues which create a very negative experience. From my point of view the game could be much more successful if beginners would have an easier start, multiplayer part is improved and the frustrating bugs are fixed. I would appreciate if my feedback is used as an input to improve the game and the user experience.
Hard to learn for beginners
Complex game
The game is very complex. Therefore, it is necessary to support beginners as much as possible. A good example are the complex games on smartphones/tablets. Beginners are guided with point and click to a necessary base level of understanding the game. These games catch also players without a certain determination to learn that game.
Key bindings
You have to be very patient to learn and setup the key bindings, especially if you use a HOTAS. I understand that it is difficult to create a structured menu to setup all the possible controls of the game but I spend hours in that menu to find/setup the right key function/binding. Some help, a good search functionality and the possibility to save some individual key binding setups would be great.
Multiplayer
Playing games is more fun if played together. Since ED is an MMO in that almost unlimited space it would be great if the multiplayer part of the game can be improved. E.g. playing in multicrew is almost not possible because of all the bugs/problems.

Bugs
My key bindings change somehow after restart of the game.
- After new start of the game it seems that all HOTAS controls are broken. I can’t control the ship menus (e.g. navigation) anymore. I had to use a standard setup and re-bind all keys.
- Disconnection from server happens quite often. Last night the game was not playable. If I managed to login after several attempts, I got disconnected after 5 minutes. At the end I couldn’t login at all.
