[Feedback] Really enjoying the coop in this game

i took a mission to kill an anaconda for 160k. I had a few goes and to be fair it was a bit out of m league. i have a moderately tuned Viper and was getting him to half hull but he was ripping me to pieces.

Rather than give up, I stuck my preverbial thumb out to a CMDR in the system. I won't name him as thats rude but "J***Wolf***" you are a star.

He followed me around in cruise and we were lucky enough to find the target at the second USS. I waited for him to follow my wake into the target and we started attacking.

I still took a few licks but the 'conda was definitely splitting his focus and it was easier to maintain shileds. I had to break off maybe twice so they didn't collapse and I saw Wolf back off a few times as well. It worked excellently.

Sure enought, the target took a pounding (wolf had a viper too, not sure of the spec of course). When it popped I actually cheered at my monitor!

Now for the constructive criticism.....
  • Only I had taken the mission, so only i got the payout
  • I did the most damage (wolf was holding back deliberatly according to his comm) so I got the 55k Bounty as well
  • The ability to share missions and bounties really needs to be addressed. This kind of ad-lib pairing and fighting is great emergent game play and needs to be rewarding for all parities equally
  • Getting into the USS or Interdication needs to be seamless for all parties, I had to wait for a good 45 secs for Wolf to follow my wake in. I was playing patsy with the target until he arrived.

Excellent encounter, excellent game mechanics that could use the above points to make it even sweeter.

Yeah - this would be interesting. You'd then be able to have freighters running with escorts, and packs of small ships taking on larger ships, both PvE and PvP. Right now, a Type 6 is fairly hard to take down in PvP for example, as you can't mass lock it with a Cobra or smaller, so it can submit to interdiction and jump straight out. Hitting it with a mix of small fighters and a big ship to pull the cargo would be really interesting.

I guess one way to do it would be to relax the "1Mm, 1Mm/s" restriction on wakes so you'd be able to land on them more easily.

Really this is what we need...this would really increase the immersion and bring the game alive!
I do hope FD has this in mind for the near future!
