Feeding bug again?

For 54 years everything went well in my franchise-zoo. All habitats (5) and exhibits (4) tiptop 100% 5 stars. Then all of a sudden the tapirs got hungry. Pressed the "call keeper"-button. Keeper on his way. OK. Did something else. Looked back to the tapirs: tapirs are still hungry. There is a keeper in the habitat. Looked at his thoughts: "The tapirs are not hungry". Whaaaat? Keeper left the habitat to look for something else. The "call keeper"-button is still activated and the keeper linked to it is in a loop in the keeper's hut stooping to the fridge, closing it and straighten up, then stooping to the fridge....

What's the solution? Deleting the hut? Dismissing the keeper?

Edit: In the end I had to do both and my poor tapirs nearly starved to death. But eventually after I fired the looped keeper and deleted the bugged hut another keeper saved them, but it was a very close shave. It seems if a keeper is going to prepare food for a habitat every other keeper gets the message that the animals in that habitat aren't hungry. That's really bad!

I had this issue with Tapirs, interestingly. Think I deleted the keeper and rehired another, plus I redid the work zone set up just incase.

I fired the keeper, but he still blocked the keeper's hut staying in his loop. So I had to delete that too and build a new one. After that everything worked again.

I have had this bug once as well and had to do the same thing (delete the keeper hut after firing the keeper).

Huh I haven’t encountered this bug yet anyway. The only bug I’m getting is the food grade chart is off I’ll select 3rd grade but I’m getting 1 or 2 instead. I’m also occasionally getting a light freeze or delay in game. The delay could be from terraforming a bit more than I used to though.

I’ve also had this! I change it to 3 and it stays as 1.
Seems I have quite a few bugs going on.

Seems as if the bug occurs mainly with animal keepers who have a very low red energy level. Perhaps they have neither enough energy to fulfil their task nor to leave the hut to get some rest - so they are stuck and blocking the hut as well.

If you delete the hut, the keeper instantly goes to take a rest. So better keep an eye on the energylevels of your keepers. ;)

We only notice the problem when animals start starving. By then the keepers have already been stuck in the keeper house for a while in an endless loop going through the motions of preparing food without ever cutting real food or opening the fridge door properly. In PZ time, they might have been chopping air for months if not years. I don’t think they start out tired.

Nope. I took a close watch on those keepers with yellow (and red) energy and followed them around. In my case they already were on relativly low red energy when entering the hut to get the bug. If they are entering in yellow energy, every thing went fine: they prepared the food and left the hut feeding the animals, even if they got red energy-level meanwhile.

Just started playing Planet Zoo myself, and had this Bug on my first sandbox creation.
I think i managed to get the animals some feed was to fire the keeper, Hire a new Keeper, then remove all of the feed items in the habitat and add them again..

think they were hungry..

As I told you: I didn't wait for animals getting hungry, but followed my keepers around, when they turned to yellow energy. And to my experience it is as I wrote above: You get this bug only, if a keeper with very low red engergy goes preparing food. Then he can't leave the hut.
