I'm having this exact problem now, and as far as I can tell there's the exact same thing going on over in Robigo. At first there were NO missions, I've donated about....5 million in total between the other factions, my rep increasing with the others slightly when donating to one, but FHS stays deadlocked at neutral. -_- Is there *any* way we can fix this? Every other system I've visited that people say is good for long range smuggling ends up being dead for me, offering one low paying mission every few refreshes of the BB. -____- I'd really like to role play a bit as a LR smuggler, but everywhere I got it's like the game has it out for me to not be one

Sigh yeah, I suppose, but I prefer the missions cuz I like knowing the exact payout ahead of time without having to alt-tab out to use a route planner like EDDB, plus I like feeling like I did something for *someone*, like a contract as opposed to just operating independently

It won't pay quite as well as hauling slaves out of Robigo, but the pay isn't too bad. Also, the NPC interdictions will be a lot less of a problem. Also, unlike missions, you can chose where you take your cargo.

And there are plenty of stations in the bubble offering LR smuggling. Only difference is the destinations are in all directions instead of only one and the distance tends to only be 1-200 ly.

.....aaaaaand would you mind sharing some of these spots, and what average payout would be for someone of Broker rank, once I get my rep above neutral with the factions offering them?

Which system should I bring them to for max profit? All the trade calculators I can find only search out to 50 or so ly, and so pops up 'route not found' when I try and search

I was in HIP 10716/Wu Guinagi on grind for the cutter and I noticed there were plenty of LR missions in the low millions. I have seen them in other places too, I think it is fairly common. There is often a criminal faction in system that offers smuggling missions.

Edit: I have been looking for a place like HIP10716 (i.e. on the fringe of the bubble with limited mission destinations) for grinding federal rank (other than Ceos/Soithis) and while searching I noticed many of the systems had LR smuggling/hauling missions.

And they're not locked behind a wall of needing Cordial rep with no way to gain said rep? Cuz as I've said that's the issue with every other hotspot I've been to.

They may be rep dependent but I didn't have trouble getting it from other missions for them. I.e. it is a "normal" system with all factions offering a range of missions with various rep requirements.
