Powerplay Felicia Winters, does she really help rank up in Federation?

I'm at 55% Post Commander towards Post Captain. I really want the Federal Corvette and was wondering just how much difference it makes if you're pledged to F.W. Our community goals are making me a lot of credits but not helping with Fed rank since this and last weeks locations are Alliance systems. I guess the other option is to head back to Ceos/Sothis and do that grind again if it's still the same way.

Thanks,

AirBear

Unfortunately PowerPlay does not help with rank in any of the navies. For Felicia Winters, you can help PowerPlay indirectly by working for Federation Corporate factions in her systems (especially ones where they are not in control), as that will help reduce her fortification triggers, and working for Federation factions improves your Federation rank.

Thanks, there was an old guide to PowerPlay that said anything you did for a Fed faction in one of her systems would apply to all Fed factions in her systems and get you lots of rep and quick ranking up. Figured it was too good to be true.

This is a question I was always afraid to ask. :)

In my experience, the INF+++ missions provide the fastest upgrade, which means transport passenger missions. Are there any other factors the influence the ranking?

Me and you too :) Just read, I think it must've been the same guide, exactly the same - although I'm trying to rank up with the Empire (Aisling Duval it said for me). Couldn't see what it was doing to progress my rep with the Empire.

So, to clarify, pledging to a power will not help a rep increase with the Feds/Emp at all? I'm bouncing around Wu Guinagi and HIP 10716 ranking up. Cheers in advance for advice.

First time I've tried Power Play since getting the game 2 years ago (like it though, new factor to the game). Like CQC, Crew and Ship Launched Fighters it was something I hadn't bothered with.

Nope. Not at all. Aisling and Felicia give influence bonuses to pledged pilots operating in controlled or exploited systems.

The only way to smooth the wheels on increasing your Naval Rank Progression is to have your reputation with the superpower be Allied, and that doesn't actually increase your rank progression in itself, it merely increases the rate of your reputation gain amongst factions aligned with that superpower, and potentially change the type of missions offered. And since the only way to increase your superpower reputation is to run missions aligned to that superpower, well, all you can do is complete missions from factions aligned to that superpower.

Power Play has nothing to do with Naval Rank Progression.
