Felicity Farseer has some new blueprints

I toyed with where to put this but I figured this was the best place.

It was mentioned by Sandro on stream and confirmed by Steve that the DSS blueprints had been updated, but there was no more info and in today's change log only the original 5 engineers were there.

I can confirm that Felicity Farseer has a Rank 3 upgrade of the Detailed Surface Scanner available [up] It's also worth noting she now has a Rank 3 upgrade for sensors too. A big thanks to FD for listening and making a change here, but why don't you advertise something that's beneficial to explorers?

I can also confirm Tiana fortune has rank 5 sensors and rank 3 surface scanner. I lucked out and got 80.4% reduction on my Anaconda's sensors. Amazing!

Really? She should have Rank 5 DSS according to the patch notes. If that is the case, can you screenshot it and open a bug report? I don't have access to either of the Rank 5 ones.

To add to the confusion, upon visiting Lori Jameson last night I found that she had sensor grade 5 but scanner up to grade 3 only; also in conflict with the patch notes.

That's weird. I definitely made some G5 and G4 DSS mods with Lori Jameson yesterday. Looks like there's a bug then - and hopefully not on my end, heh.

I'm sitting at Tiana Fortune's and she only has G3 DSS mods although G5 Sensor mods as others have indicated. I suspect that G3 mods are the highest grade available for surface scanners although the release notes seem to say otherwise.

Did anyone see higher DSS mods in beta?

Well as a couple of people have Rank 5 upgrades and there shouldn't be a difference between Lori and Tiana then I'd say it's a bug. As you're there can you screenshot it and then set up a bug report for it please and maybe post a link to it here? Anyone who sees the Rank 5 upgrades it would be helpful if those could be added to the report once it's made as it doesn't seem to be as straightforward as them only having Rank 3.

Yeah, and I'm not sure why they'd decide to move Tiana's available DSS mods down to G3, as her specialisations are said to be Scanners and Limpets.

Im looking for a level 5 DSS engineer. I went to Tina but she only had up to level 3. Can some one who has actully seen the levl 5 anywhere in teh game ( not in pacth notes) please let us know whihc Engineer acutally can provide it. A screen shot would be great. Thanks!

Because they trust us to find it ourselves, as explorers are constantly looking around.

Lori Jameson has them, just made some yesterday. Sadly, I didn't take screenshots, but I can do that the next time I'll be at her base - although others will probably do that before I do.

Hang on what? I was in a thread in the engineers forum the other day and someone said

Bill Turner has Grade 5 DSS mods. I just did Fast Scan there. The patch notes are botched.

So are we saying that:

Bill Turner - Grade 5 DSS - Grade 5 Sensor

Hera Tani - Grade 5 DSS

Lori Jameson - Grade 5 DSS

Felicity Farseer - Grade 3 DSS - Grade 3 Sensor

Tiana Fortune - Grade 3 DSS

Lei Chung - ???

These are what people have said, some screenshots would be nice. It would be good to also get the sensor upgrade levels too please. I can't get any at the moment as I'm racing out to the Crab Nebula (again) to get some info on Station X, after having reached there last night and been destroyed by the station while taking screenshots...
