Fences in JWE2

Hopefully Jens can answer. In JWE2, is there some kind of fence different from the first game? Like in Planet Zoo... @Jens Erik

Based on the gameplay we’ve seen there doesn’t appear to be hedge, picket, or brick, and I’m not hopeful here. iirc we haven’t seen concrete either but surely that’s still in. Hedges would be nifty: something that guides park guests and small dinos around but larger dinos and Ranger vehicles charge right through.

I know right... what's so hard about add8ng decorative fences that keep guests back? Especially in a game where electrified fences are the norm.

IMO, redundent, not needed, and a waste of resources.

As long as guests stay on paths elec fences not a problem. In fact Idont think a guest can be electrocuted

Have you ever been to an actual zoo? ...or any major outdoor location for that matter? Decorative fences are a real-world thing... they just add to our ability to make realistic and interesting looking zoos. And no, your guests can't be electrocuted by the fences... but in real life people can be electrocuted, which is why electrified fences often have a second fence located between them and zoo guests... again, it's about building options and realism.

There's also the fact that some animals are so small, putting them behind a fence meant to house a Tyrannosaurus looks absolutely ridiculous... having something more their size would be far more believable and just look better.

In the case of small dinos, how about a glass wall fence. Since guests currently can not see any dinos through any fences it would be purly cosmetic but more realistic.

Having decorative fences for keeping guests off the 'grass' is ok, i guess, otherwise just use a basic non elec fence and put it around your elec fenced enclosure. It already exists and does not used up developmental resources
