Awesome! Looks about Cobra sized.

I'm hoping it's fairly expensive (Asp priced, for example) but also rather good at combat.

My guess is this is higher tier than that. The specs on the Vulture sounds like that will be the asp-level combat vessel.

Yes, seeing a comment on another thread before the Vulture is comparable to the Python and described as a pure combat vessel, nothing more. So Vulture = Python pre-nerf

This is supposed to be the Mercedes Benz of starships, so wouldn't be surprised if it's pricier than an Asp.

As it should be, at least going back in the lore. The FDL was never meant to be a combat ship but a luxury one - that said lots of luxury cars have powerful engines and great performance, and in this universe you'd expect to be mugged if you were showing off that kind of bling, so I'm sure it can defend itself. Am VERY interested in what the stats will be and if this will be one of my "goal" ships.

it's the Loooooove Boat, soon you'll be making another run....

In the original it seemed that the FdeL was a long sleek dart of a ship, the fastest there was. I thought it would be longer, maybe half to 2/3rds of the size of anaconda. I still would rather have had the Asp in the original, as the FdeL just seemed to be about speed and not much else. Does rather look like a slightly stretched Adder.

That's right, back in the day it was for the well heeled bounty hunter. It had a crew of 10 so would be clipper/dropship sized if not changed to fit the new lore. It looks dissapointingly like an adder/hauler. More imagination needed by designers I think.

All I want to know is the hardpoint specs. If it can handle multiple medium or large fixed weapons, and handles anything like an Adder, you can count me in.

My dream would be three medium hardpoints - two down, one up, closely clustered.

Kind of like the way James Bond drives fast cars with gadgets, yeah. Maybe its strength will come from what it can carry component wise, while being decent but not outstanding in combat? Seems like there is a hardpoint between the nose and cockpit (class 2 at a guess). which might mean it only has 3 total (2 underneath)?

As for the looks, naw, the Adder looks like a dopey shuttle (but still cute in its own way). This looks like a sports car, and not just because of the racing type paint job.

What I really want to know is, what will the interior be like when we can move around inside the ship? ;)

can't wait to see the cockpit.
I'm hopeful for some kind of GT3/F1 type dash: Slim/carbon fiber/practical cables and buttons everywhere.
