Ships Fer-De-Lance...Mk.I?

Ingame description of FDL states this:
"The Fer-de-Lance is another classic design that has now been in production for two centuries. The ship became famous for its popularity with top business executives and wealthy bounty hunters, being a fast, well armed vessel, with luxurious accommodation and high quality components fitted as standard. Early models were built by Zorgon Peterson, but more recently, limited numbers have been upgraded by Saud Kruger in a rare collaboration, resulting in even more lavish creations, without spoiling the original design and specification requirements."

Really curious about which model do we have in game? Modified or base model? I would really love to see another modification of this ship. I know people want totally new designs, but if there's ship deserving to get a modification - it's FDL.
I've found this concept art image of FDL, and if you ask me - it's absolutely amazing. It looks a bit more...masculine. A little bit more straight lines, beefier hull, and a cockpit that from the looks of it doesn't have any bars running right in the middle of it

Any thoughts?

Agreed I prefer the concept to the current release as it does look a bit more aggressive (like a bounty hunting ship should)

I very like current and concept FDL.

For me - it is the best looking ship in the game. I love this space shuttle shapes.

I always thought the FDL was.... kind of... pretty.
But that concept is gorgeous!
concepts are almost always better looking than their real life counterparts, though.

Give me this with 2 large and 3 medium hard points, Class 5 FSD, Class 4 fuel tank. and 1 more class 2 internal and i'd be delighted.
Definitely better looking than the current ship

I was thinking 2x large hardpoints on the front, 2x mediums on the side, 2x huge on the bottom.

This FDL (mk2) should be a large ship to the FDL.

Aggressive. Much sexy. Very wow.

I love the current FdL, but that's an awesome concept. I like the scowling canopy and the whole front part of the ship.
The FdL we have looks much lighter and more elegant, true, but this shouts "bounty hunting ship" much more clearly"
I wouldn't mind if this made it to the game as a "heavy FdL". Weapon-wise? I see two sole huge hardpoints.

I indeed feel the Zorgon Peterson touch in this model.

I would love to see this model as a variation, we don t have many Zorgon ship in the current game.

The current buttocks (diagonal rear thrusters) are cool as hell. Keep those but have the conceptual front + canopy. I would never fly another ship again. [up]
