Its been quite a while since I played elite after rushing into it
the first 3 weeks, then lost motivation, now after wings are
finaly there I wanted to try the game again.

But if the fer de lance will cost 100 Million Credits I am gonna quit finally
Really no interest in grinding another 100 hours for my 4th ship and also no
interest in playing as trader, as it seems to stay the only possibility
to get any ship more expensive than the asp.

Any confirmation regarding the price already ?

The vulture seems to be no upgrade to the
cobra... better weapon mounts I hope, but
the topspeed is just a joke. And also
for the vulture ( if 20 mio is correct )
you will need at least 30-40 mio.

As bounty hunter you get in a very good hour 500k-1mio.
So ? Another 40 hours for the vulture which is far away
from what I want ( a viper which isnt cippled by its
power availability would be a start )

As getting other and better ships would be about 95% of my motivation
it is really frustrating that 4 months after the release of the game its still
lacking of any good fighters...

Viper was a great ship, but is to fragile and has a lack of power all the time
Cobra is just a construction error 50% of the weapon mounts are not usable,
and I find it ugly, but I fly it because its just a bit more efficient than the Viper
Adder : no comment, interesting in the first 5-10 hours but no ship to use a longer time
Eagle : a great ship ! but also to fragile on the long run, still a great ship but no choice atm
Hauler : no use for bounty hunting
Lakon Type 6,7,9 : no use for bounty hunting
Sidewinder : no use for bounty hunting
Orca : no use for bounty hunting
ASP : expensive and quite large, to large for a fighter for my point of view, although I
havent tried it yet.

I am somehow getting the feeling that elite is another very early access game
I bought, I thought with Gamma its quite finished but with this speed
( oh and btw. I am so happy elite comes to xbox, ;-) )
it will take another 6-12 months until it makes any sense to play.

Btw. the developers should maybe call Chris Roberts, if Elite would have
a rapier or a sabre it would be so much more fun... wing commander 2
could be a game to watch, so many years ago they had better ships with
more diversity than elite got nowadays... dont wanna qq, but it is just
sad to have such a great "sandbox" which made so many things right
and already after playing about 15 hours I was stuck in the cobra I dont
like any bit.
