Ships Fer-de-Lance Shield Ideas

I finally got the grade 5 shield engineer and he also does boosters up to grade 3. I'd like to see some ideas on shields and boosters for the Fer De Lance. I've been running 5A shields and five shield boosters. I'm not all that interested in Bi-Weave because my shields only go down once in a blue moon. You are free to suggest Bi-Weave, but include your philosophy for using them.

G5 reinforced, two HD boosters, two ResAug boosters, one ThermRes booster. Later upgrade to prismatics. Welcome to invincibility (or at least to veery long duels).

I've been looking for prismatics on eddb, but can't find them, where can they be found?

This is mine https://s.orbis.zone/70_

5C Bi-weave with thermal resist and fast charge.
I got high resist of 67% explosion, 52% kinetic, and 60% thermal with almost 1200 mj. I also engineered her to run cool because I'm using all lasers so I have a low emissions power plant which lowers power output. To stay within power limits I used 3 A class boosters with resist augmented and flow control then 3 E class boosters with heavy duty and super capacitor.

If you can be evasive biweaves willl regen more MJ over time.
Most people use G5 thermal with either lo-draw or fast charge experimental, and a couple of RA and 1-2 HD boosters, + chaff and heatsinks.

Prismatics usually go with Reinforced/hicap and multiple HD boosters with only enough RA to even it out.
Those are a "power specific module" and you need to pledge to Aisling Duval for a month etc.

The first is a more skill oriented build.
The second is more lazy and takes face tanking better.

This is my current biweave build: https://s.orbis.zone/717
I have a prismatic build too but I don't fly it often, but it's pretty much the same other than the shield gen.
It used to be people used a c4 prismatic so you could use a larger SCB but seems I'm seeing both more often now.
Probably because mass isn't as much of a factor with the new thruster engineering.

I use lo-draw on both so I can keep more pips to eng/wep.

I tend to favour thermal resistant bi-weaves w/ lo-draw on my ships that can evade effectively. For a FDL, I would start with size 5 thermal bi-weave w/lo-draw, throw a on pair of resistance boosters and another pair of heavy duty boosters. I would carry a pair of 4A SCBs and an ammo modded heat sink launcher. The last utility slot would be filled with a chaff launcher to help with evasion against gimbals and turrets so I can make better use of the bi-weave's regen.

The fast charge secondary on the shield is also quite popular, and you could probably use the multi-weave secondary to get a few extra % resistances with your current unlocks. The shield booster secondaries are mostly useless, but the flow control secondary is very nice on heavy duty and resistance boosters.

Prismatics are an option if you want the highest base MJ and don't care about regen. You get these by pledging to Aisling Duval in Power play for 3 weeks and getting to rank 3 with her. I have never used these so I can't give you any advice here.

Your other optional internal slots would have a similar impact on how you shield tanking:
  • If you use an SCB, you will want to have at least one heat sink launcher.
  • If you use 2 SCBs, learn how to fire off both of them with a single heat sink.
  • If you have unlocked them, Guardian shield boosters can give a moderate buff to shield strength, but I wouldn't recommend them on an FDL unless you ABSOLUTELY need more base MJ.
