Fer De Lance weapon loadout suggestions, anyone?

I just quickly threw all multicannons on it for now, with lvl. 1 overcharged and no effects on them all.
It's not bad with that loadout, but shields eat ammo and restocking every 15-20 kills gets tedious.

I've seen players use a huge beam lazer to help take shields down, but I wanted some more input on the best loadouts before comitting to the engineer grind.

Thank you ahead of time for your input.

I use a huge beam and 4x multies - PvE setup, though. The beam is used for most ships up to an Asp, bigger ships get the multies after the shields drop.

Z...

i have two loadouts:
- 4 pulses and huge MC
- huge pulse, medium pulse, medium MC and two medium seeker missiles

after the next patch i'm gonna run
-huge MC, 2 beams, one burst, one pulse

four medium frags and a huge beam is also a lot of fun

Huge fixed cannon, 2 seekers, 2 fixed beams right now. Was gonna mix it up but cannon is getting a 25% damage increase or something soon..

Same as Zeeman, huge Beam and 4 multi-cannons, all engineered. Is it the best set up? Don't know. But how can 4 miniguns blazing away next to your cockpit not be huge fun! :D

I run 2 medium PAC 1 huge PAC two medium multis ..... it's glorious. I'm gonna try two fixed beams also soon hopefully instead of the multis.

With the new patch, did anyone tested some new outfits for FDL?

i'm experimenting currently with the medium hardpoints (huge is a corrosive MC), mainly taking advantage of the new beamlaser blueprints.

- 2 medium efficient beam, 1 focussed pulse emissive, 1 efficient burst scramble = uses really few of the capacitators, my impression is it is undereffective

- 3 medium efficient beam, 1 efficient pulse emissive = better than above

- 2 medium beam efficient, 1 longrange beam, 1 efficient pulse emissive = okay, but somehow a problem of different effectve ranges of weapons

- 3 longrange beams, 1 focussed pulse emissive = to much WEP drain.

...

I used to use 4 Pulse Lasers and Huge PA before engineers and it was a pretty lethal ship, it's stayed parked up for 6 months or so and just getting back into the game. I took it to Farseer for some love yesterday and upgraded the FSD (Grade 4), Power Plant (Grade 1 Overcharged) and Dirty Drives (Grade 3) Gives me 475 on Boost :D

I had the ship standard hull, D rated shields & empty cargo racks for the journey, mostly A rated modules and fitted stock 4x Multi Cannons and Huge Pulse laser and took it to the Nav Beacon, I was surprised how well this modest setup fared, had no issue with any of the ships I encountered. The Laser works better if you're above the target due to placement, I'm sure a rapid fire mod would be nice.

The cannons ate the hull's for breakfast, so again engineered would be a nice setup I think. I do like my Huge PA though so I will probably go back to that and maybe mix MC and PL on the other hard points. I did have some heat issues to manage but nothing serious and I could leave 2 pips on each and boost/fire without any power issues. Clean drives might be a better option for heat.

No, but I will be.

My current loadout is:

2 C2 torp pylons
3 rapid fire pulses with phasing sequence

HOWEVER rapid fire/phasing sequence got badly nerfed in the current patch so I will be looking at railguns and PA

I'm still experimenting but would go with following for PvE

Huge cannon or PA fixed. Engineered long range for shot speed.
3 fixed efficient beams or pulse
1 corrosive multi. Use as needed

Was on my way to get a cannon and some C2 beams modded.

Undecided on fixed or not, so just going to make a mess of 'em.

I am bringing my plasma ferdie back!

2 x fixed burst
2 x gimballed cannon
1 x C4 PA

Dominated pre-2.1, new changes mean PA is back on the team. The hurt is real.

I've been playing with fixed a bit more, the first couple scraps were pretty embarrassing but once you get used to it, its actually more fun. Plus the chaffy AI isn't an issue anymore and you get quite a bit more damage out of it.
If I remember right fixed cannons see a 25% damage boost vs 15 for gimballed
Fixed lasers got a 10% decrease in DIS draw and I'm really toying with trying the burst lasers again as they finally got fixed!

With the buffs to fixies + plasma, and with the release from engineers commodity hell, it's time to go back to the classic build for me. Huge plasma, 4x fixed multicannons.

On the multis fx, could a knowledgable person please advise - is a mix of incendiaries & corrosive the way to go? 2 of each or just one corrosive (can't remember if they followed through with making corrosive less of a binary affair or not)?

My concern with a pure fixed build it pinning down those smaller ships. Especially with MCs and PAs, need to lead appropriately.

Beams got a bit of a buff so I might go 2 fix beams, 2 gimb multi, 1 cannon.

To my understanding Corrosive doesn't stack so you would only need to run one, then load the rest with incendiaries. I was on the receiving end in my Cutter and the damage it could deal was mind blowing.

Just found the Eagles to be really miserable to kill. I try to keep one gimballed weapon in there to help take them down.
