Elite / Frontier FFE CD-ROM editions

Had a look through the loft the other day and came across my boxed copy of Frontier First Encounters. CD edition, box is in perfect condition as is the manual. The receipt was even in the box, bought from the bargain bin at Comet in 1997 for £10! The CD says it is the new v1.06 edition also.

Was there other versions of the CD prior to v1.06?

I think what you have there whertz is a late edition of the game with some of the bugs fixed. I know there were earlier versions, but I dont know how many there were. You could try Steve's Frontier Astro site. Maybe you could find the answer there?
