This has been hard. I won't lie. We've lost so many good pilots, friends, relatives... All for what? The Federation painted us as the "bad guys" which gave pilots carte blanche for genocide.
In the midst of this sadness I must give my sincere thanks to the Independent commanders who saw through the lies and deceptions of the Federal propaganda machine and took our side - hopeless as it was. What you lost in paltry credits, you made up for in honour and justice. Please know that history will eventually show you made the right choice.

Your charade is too easy to see through. Why exactly would you blame the Federation? The investigation was lead by a tri-superpower taskforce.

What did you do to be on bad terms with them all ?
What did they offer each other and the multi news agencies that would report the same duplicate reports with photo and video evidence on the VIDEO news net works that run aside galnet text version only... would be the question... The Empire systems are not even realy effected at all in this II..

The Scyte of Panem was found guilty by the Empire, The Feds, and the Alliance.

Let's say, for the sake of discussion, that you guys were not in the wrong.

What did you do to be on bad terms with them all ?
It's in the interests of both Alliance and Empire to get a culprit quickly and swiftly dealt with. The Feds were happy to oblige.

What proof was produced? What due process followed? What transparency has there been?

Well there are A LOT of minor factions around. If you guys are not guilty, what have you done to enrage them all so much ?

This is the question I've been asking as well. Simply saying there was "questioning" and "investigations" is not evidence. CMDRs were asked to become executioners on behalf of the state, and hardly any asked "based on what evidence am I carrying out this summary justice?"

Plenty of Stalin's victims, just as an example, were found "guilty" in kangaroo court show trials as well.

In this case, the SoP weren't even granted the courtesy of a farce in a courtroom. I thought in order to find someone or a group "guilty" of crimes, a burden of proof must be met and due process carried out. Maybe in the 34th century, "justice" doesn't follow those same strict standards.

Have "Anarchy" as their chosen form of government?

Plenty of investigations have been led by corrupt, powerful individuals who have their own agendas to see through.

In practical terms, the issue of whether SoP were in the right or wrong is moot now because the deadline for the CG has already passed. Many commanders just play combat CGs for the fun of it, especially after such a long time that we didn't have any, and are not really invested in the story behind them. It's best to try and make your case as soon as the CG starts, to try and catch their attention asap.

….
This is a time when you can be blown up by a station for flying too close to the wrong landing pad, I suspect the standards are still strict but have changed since those of the 21st century just as those of the 21st century are different to those of the 8th century.
