Fighter Hardpoints? Small? medium? large?

Can anyone tell me which size of hardpoint the fighters have? With a fixed beam variant at (45 dps) with 4 pips to weapons I seem to deal a considerable amount of damage, these really don't feel like small T1 hardpoints. I can take out an dangerous/deadly NPC anaconda's shields in about 30 seconds of fire. While I feel that my large/ huge hard points on says a vulture or imperial cutter (not engineered) seems to do about the same. I was just curious.

Cheers,

Large or Huge hard points, would find tracking small ships a problem.

Shields, recharge, only when not being hit. Therefore, a beam weapon, continuously striking a shield, will kill it faster.

A pulse weapon gives more time to heal the shield.

I have two small turreted beams on my Cobra and given time; not a lot, they will strip any NPC ships shields.

thank you but that kinda doesn't answer my question. What size hardpoints do fighters have? The are extremely small and yet deal way more damage than I feel any "small hardpoint" would actually do.

The amount of damage looks like it comes from two large hardpoints, which is crazily awesome.

Thanks, Thats what it feels like tbh and hard point sizes should also have a reduction in damage based on what size of ship they are hitting but these just seem always strong.

Frontier went with the glass cannon approach with the SLFs. Their guns are basically the equivalant of large hardpoints if I remember correctly.

I suppose, to be fair, you can say that the weapons are integral to the ships so some increase in effectiveness over standardised modularised weapons is reasonable and to be expected.

Perhaps they went a little far with it though..

Not that I'm complaining! I love my fighters, but in a 'in the real world' sense it sometimes feels a bit much.
