I was too busy to play 1.3 at launch so have only recently started putting some time in to work out how this power play stuff all works. It's possible I'm missing some key game play elements here, but anyway:
Ventured into a 'Security Operations' area for the first time to help my power with some expansion activities. After around an hour of combat the risk vs reward just seemed to make the whole thing completely pointless?
Don't get me wrong, it was a lot of fun... but, I earned 20 power play credits... and 20,000 in cash. Err?
It seemed to make no difference whether I battled eagles or anacondas, the 'reward' (using the term loosely...) was the same.
Then I went to a plain old combat zone for an hour and got a million credits...
So if I'd like to earn some cash, combat zones (picking similar activity) gives much more dough for the same risk level
And if I want to earn power play credits, it's more efficient to simply 'turn in' intel and it carries much less risk
What am I missing? Why bother with combat for my power?
