Filter for high tech?

a couple of posters have stated that you can find high tech economies from the galaxy map... but i cant see how you can do this. i know you can filter for the commodities that high tech systems manufacture ... or am i being dense again?

Hey,

In the galaxy map, when you select 'view' you can select 'economy' in the drop down menu under 'Show by Colour'. Check High Tech in the list.

YAY... The drop down box ... That is utterly brilliant. Would never have found that on my own. And it looks like the only hi tech systems around me are the two i have already found!!

Unfortunately the filter doesn't work for secondary economies. So if a system's primary economy isn't High Tech you won't see it. This is very annoying as nearly every major system has 2 economic types. So, personally I've given up on this filter and just float the mouse around to see what economies systems have.
