Probably because it was much simpler to code that way.
When out in the black or at least in places where I expect to encounter few FCs I will include them in that filter.
In the bubble and other busy places I filter FCs out and if I need to target mine as a destination use the galaxy map where the top bookmark in my favourites list is my carrier.

It's an FC. What else would you expect the filter to do?
I know it's easier to code, but where's the logic in that?
I know about the bookmark path, but I can't find the button to turn on the flight assistant
I still need to go to panel 1.And since my FC is color-coded in panel 1 anyway, it's a useless step to get it through the bookmarks

I expect it wasn’t about the logic but more about deadlines and costs.
This just occurred to me as I was typing, when that was written they probably weren’t expecting such huge numbers of Fleet Carriers to be sat about cluttering up the bubble.

Which would cause a problem for those wanting to use it to fly to their FC I suppose.
Yes the colour coding would be fine if there was only a dozen or so carriers present but as nearly everybody and most of their alts have carriers it is unworkable.And since my FC is color-coded in panel 1 anyway, it's a useless step to get it through the bookmarks
Your translation software was doing a great job this time.
They can't be that bad at predicting their player base.
I think they expected most of them to be out doing things not sat where they are making base building an even more pointless exercise.
The plus side is it means they don't need to write base building code.
