Now FD .....about that switch to turn off or dim the cockpit lights ...... please
Now to add "auto shut off" so the ship battery doesn't drain while out in the SRV.
Nooooo..... there's nothing left to complain about!!!
"Added icon to info panel to show players if their ship or SRV lights are on"
After 4 years of nagging, I nag no more! [up] Cheers FD[heart]
Don't want to be greedy, but a horn would be good too.
Joking aside, this totally works. Not everyone may realise that your discovery scanner honk is audible to others. I use it quite a lot at outposts to alert pad hoggers to my presence!Cough.. discovery scanner.. cough.. HONK!
Sorry but I'm going to have to get all OCD about a trivial thing... again.
So, to recap, we've currently got the landing-gear, cargo scoop and mass-lock idiot-lights down in the bottom-right of the cockpit HUD, we've got a bunch of damage warning lights near the ship hologram and now we're getting a ship-lights idiot-light in the top-right of the screen, near the "Information" panel?
And, meanwhile, we still have swathes of actual cockpit just sitting there, looking pretty, but doing nothing except blocking the view out the front of the ship?
Was this all designed by a descendant of whoever designed the dashboard of a Porsche 911 (a car famous for it's poorly designed dashboard)?
Could FDev not have gone away and created a proper little "panel" which contains ALL the idiot-lights and then fitted it into the console of ALL the ships?
But still no third or fourth fire button. Instead, they added another layer of "HUD modes"...
