Why? Why should propping up open be anything to clebratel? People do stuffs in open all of the time. It just isn't note worthy. You got shot up in open, cool. Now you're one of the awesome's too.

OP's observation about Open being quite lonely and not so dangerous is spot on, and you missed this point from the beginning, as OP so politely explained.

The last time I actually was even successfully pulled over was during the Imperial Coronation on my final run to claim the CG rewards, but even back then my C3 could get away from just about anything in normalspace.

OP's right, Open is usually just what it is, neither The Mode of Heroes nor The Pit of Death like you hear from the pretend-brave and the real-fearful. There's some variance here and there but on the whole this game is what you seek from it more than it is foist upon ye unbidden, by most measurements.

Because of that, there shouldn't be solo and group in Elite... For purpose of Community Goals Frontier should add "Security Law Enforcement Unit" which will "protect" this area - almost instant kill for all pvp action in non PVP areas.
