FINALLY! After two years in game!!

I experienced a Sidewinder suicide rammer! I had heard of these guys but had yet to have a proper experience with one myself. After several back and forths in my T9, hauling Beryllium and Indium for this week's CG, I am exiting the mail slot when I see him. High, starboard side, stock Sidewinder boosting right at me...and boom! He blows up. I can't believe it!!

<--- Flying 89 and feeling fine.

I don't know what was more satisfying. That or the two Griefasaurus Rexi in their Cutters that I low waked on (because I refuse to high wake when I am less than 100ls from the station!) with two rings and zero hull damage.

I seem to have gotten gud. :x

Yeah, it's pretty hilarious when they do that. One of my lower ranked alts was repeatedly attacked by a well known suicide Eagle some time back. He kept hitting my shields and coming back for more. I finally did a few evasive maneuvers so he wasn't able to die against my shields anymore. It was fun to watch him try. He eventually gave up.

Fun times.

Right on, CMDR!

Ah bless his sidey new socks - probably thought he was doing the empire a favour.

We should all metaphorically pat that sidey on the head and look upon them with a maternal face.

ahhhhh

V2k.

I had put in a ticket asking FD to reset my combat rank. They did so. Had he scanned me, he would have known something was off. I was in a heavily shielded and engineered Asp-X with Imperial Hammers.

I've never seen one either, you are lucky. Good work with the speed too Cmdr! Although to be fair it's tricky enough getting a T9 out of the slot under the speed limit.

And what sort of back street amateur griefer tries to kill you when you are LEAVING a CG? ! After you have sold your cargo? Standards have slipped in Open these days.

When engineering my T9's I tweak the thusters so the max speed for scoop deployed is 99M/S. Using the Gear or scoop as a limiter makes things a lot easier.

That’s a good tip, although if you accidentally over engineer it can you go back? Does removing the mod now put you all the way back to G1?

Haven't tried, I think it does. Tbh it's not an issue tho, you can fine tune things with the engine pips onboard the ship. I only really worry about the speed limit when in Open play, NPC's seem to behaving themselves now.

Honestly, I don't any trouble with the T9, Corvette, or the Anaconda. The cutter and the beluga, though? Pulling my hair out with them! Wait to yaw, wait to yaw, wait for it....and inevitably, CLANG!! Either the wings or nacelles are still in the slot.

Yeah, I had the same thought. Maybe that would have been more griefy when I had 652T of Beryllium on board, eh pal?
