I got the system finally set up (using all the things from the land of lost toys):
2 Virpil Alphas (Left/Right),
Thrustmaster TCA Yoke Boeing Edition,
Thrustmaster TPR Rudder
Microsoft strategic commander
Mouse G502x
Microsoft game controller (setting on the back part of the yoke on a stand making control tilt upward)
The yoke is cut into my desk between the 2 alphas, so the devices are lined up about on the same horizontal line. When i want to dual stick the yolk is not in the way, when I want to yolk the dual sticks are not in the way and rudder pedal is placed so all devices could be used without moving anything. All of this stuff works well in VR. All of this is centered around a gaming chair. Dual monitors stack on top of each other. (separate stands)
Ship:
Thrustmaster tpr - yaw
Alpha Prime Left - strafe up/down, strafe right left. It's primary used for admin functions like landing and things like that menu control, maps. Speed set 100%, 50, reverse 100. Instant setting to allow me to take foot off the gas pedal.
Alpha Prime Right - pitch and roll. Button assignments over there are pretty much combat related stuff, chaff, targeting, weapon groups, sub targeting, flight assist etc
Game Controller for Elites menus system
SRV (most control and fun I've ever had with this setup): turn off flight assist and make sure one button is set for hand brake. It is so much fun driving the srv with the tc yoke...
TC Yoke - forward and backward movement set to throttle full direction
TC Yoke - stick twist set to yaw turning the srv like a steering wheel.
Turret control set to the alpha right yaw / pitch.
Primary fire: right tc yoke trigger, right trigger alpha prime
Secondary fire left tc yoke trigger, left alpha prime
Cargo scoop flip button on tc yoke
Recall ship Xbox One button on tc yoke
4 way switch .. select internal, comm, external, etc..
On Foot:
Microsoft Strategic commander - used for forward or backward movement with assigned buttons for foot stuff.
Mouse G 502x - Aiming and direction for walking and running.
Just thought I'd share...
