Finally! Freedom at last!

I remember Robigo grinding times and times i did'nt know about any Robigo's at all...
I had fully graded Python before it, by doing regular missions, bounty hunting and community goals.
Robigo helped me later with Anaconda. But now i have fully upgraded Federal Corvette.
What i want to say is... I don't know what i want to say! :D

Only thing I find strange about Robigo is that the authorities haven't cracked down on the place. You would think that the black market would be shut down and police would patrol the outpost. Anyone hauling slaves would actually have to smuggle stuff out of the station.

Well, the complete absence of logic in the actions of the authorities is an established fact. I think there are even certain threads about that particular subject ;)
But yeah, you're right.

Exactly. This kind of stuff should be more dynamic. Its just odd that so many people are smuggling from the same exact spot for ages and nothings changes, even though the cops can immediately find and pursue every single smuggler as soon as they clear space dock.

Some weeks ago I posted on the suggestion forum that players should be able to be "deputized" by the police to track and identify smugglers with cargo scanners (same way they are deputized to shoot down wanted criminals). This would not only add a whole new occupation (reward could be for instance a percentage of the busted smuggler's fine), but would spread the smuggling throughout its many hubs when a particular spot would get too "hot". Also it would be more believable than the current magic insta-cops.

Cheers CMDR! Have fun :D

challenges ahead:
- try not to combat log.
- try not to kill smaller ships that don't want to grind credits as you did.
- try not to start a Nerf forum thread on anything that kills you.

I'll sign this decree.

I think they are just too lazy to take the trip out there...
I mean: come on: law enforcement never changes: "Hey there! stop in the name of t.. ooooh a donut shop.."

Pretty much my story as well; I had the Anaconda, but barely kept myself above the insurance premium (don't ask why). Robigo gave me Corvette and Cutter, flat out.

But most of all, I still do long range smuggling because I enjoy it! The dodging of law enforcement, avoiding scans, fuel scooping while frantically looking for intruders. The only thing I could do without is the constant "glad I found you, you are hard to track down" and similar messages from the same npc's every jump.

Grinding is what you make of it, however I do agree that ED need improvement in the missions. ED still have a long to go before we can address it as final if we ever will be able to do that.

There are also grinding mechanics in other games. I spend also one day just to beat one boss level in the witcher. However it was not fun because you can't continue the story.
I finally did it and the sense of achievement was of course great.

I absolutely LOVE this idea!
I really hope they listen to you, because this would be an awesome addition to the mechanic!

Now that I'm running some Robigo missions, the endless grind finally came to an end and I can actually PLAY the game. So, new run. 27 million credits in 1 hour 56 minutes. No, endless BH anymore for little money and the feeling, that you actually can't afford to play the game the way you want to due to credits (insurance) restrictions.

I'm off for PvP now and just rekitted my Python with Rail Guns. My ASP Explorer is the Robigo cash cow now and I can modify my Python the way I want to, not PvE optimised anymore.

YES! Celebrating the freedom that I just got. Why isn't FDev seeing that the game binds players to much to repetitive crap instead of making the game alive and give players the freedom and mechanics to interact more. That's what Elite stands for me!

I am too one of the few that feel you my friend. Yes it is freedom to dock your corvette and then jump on your courier and do whatever you want. It is freedom to fight in your python and care more to have a good fight instead of thinking that you will lose 12 million if things go wrong. Thats when the game really begins so enjoy.

EDIT: before you know it you will have a taxiconda just to move around.
