Finally got my wife into this game, she has a few observations about it

Playing Squad and Escape from Tarkov mostly at the mo!

Off-topic - Squad is one of my other loves and major time-sinks at the moment, used to play a lot of PR back in the day (and the odd time recently). The exact opposite of ED in many many ways. Is Escape from Tarkov good? I've been kinda on the fence about it.

On-topic - OP, well done on getting your missus on board, may you both have many happy hours flying the galaxy together. Nothing much to add, think doing the Alien stuff is a great idea.

I also find the sightseeing/tourist spot missions (not the bulk human cargo cash-farm) are a great way of seeing some of the most spectacular sights in ED while still earning some ok-ish credits. Once you've got an AspX with decent range they can be a pretty chill way to see some cool stuff, while still doing an actual mission. That or just skip the human cargo and take trips out to some of the places mentioned in Obsidian Ant's "Best Damn Places in the Galaxy" youtube series.

As posted earlier, and many times in many other places:

Excerpt:
“The Elite Dangerous team is over a hundred people strong, and while we have a dedicated PS4 team to handle things like PSN infrastructure, everyone is working on content which will appear simultaneously on all platforms."

This fact doesn't change just because people decide on their own they don't want it to be true.

To be absolutely accurate when he does play FPS or the like of Horizon dawn, I'm not passively watching.
I'm warning him to takes health packs, reload and when low on ammo. It comes from riding shotgun on him playing Doom, I have great memory mapping for puzzles and mazes, so would watch and advise where the keys, unused ammo and power up items were.
:D

You can be my wingman anytime :)

So I thought I would update this thread with how my wife is getting on. So after outgrowing the Cobra she decided to go for the Dolphin, as she was enjoying doing a lot of passenger missions. So she rigged it out with full A rated everything, engineered it all as much as she could and got it up to a near 40ly jump. This really helped her push on and soon she was able to afford the Orca. So, she got the Orca, A rated and engineered everything again and now has her dream Orca. What a ship! I love how manoeuvrable it is despite being classed as a "large" ship. I do wonder though why it sits in the large category, it seems odd the Dolphin is small, but the Orca and Beluga are large, would it not make more sense for the Orca to be a medium, especially considering how much smaller it is that say the Beluga or Anaconda. Anyway, she is loving her new Orca and is currently workign towards gettign a Python to do a bit more multi-role stuff, then after that she wants an Anaconda.

I think she is well and truly hooked lol She even loves landing with the SRV and going driving around planets for hours now, I'm having a great time in this game now I have my Wing Commander with me :)
