Finally triple elite - three SLF pilots want to sit

30% going to Npcs is a bit too much for me, so I only keep one elite pilot onboard. They would occasionally die in the old days, and then I would hire and level another.

I've got the same two other crew members onboard since forever, but they've never flown a ship, one is a mechanic, the other a medic. They get 2% each, so not too bad. Pretty loyal bunch, they've been with me all over the Galaxy, here and there, combat, trade, crime, exploration, etc..

What?!? You give up 30% of your profits? If I did that I'd be giving up 300M every weekend that I play.
yes, but like I've written before: If you play regularly combat zones, pirates, planetary scans and care being allied to your faction - which increases your income again, then your profit is so high and you have no good reason to spend your credits. Powerplay for ALD doubles then bounty and combat bonds additionally.

KWS gives 30% extra bounty money. Powerplay doubles everything. Pirate massacre missions get you 1000% extra for the same activity! No need to waste time doing PP when you could be killing pirates.

I'm curious; getting the PP bounty does that not require you to be at the highest PP ranking also requiring 10.000 merits (merits reduced by 50% each week)?

Sounds like a full-time job?

Edit: Did not see the post from @CMDR Darth Vater above your's @d8veh. How does one make ready for and sustain 10.000 merits per week?

If you deliver 100 tons, you get level 2, which takes 10 minutes and gets you up to 50% bonus, depending on where your power is in the rankings.

Level 5 gets you 100% bonus , and takes about 4 1/2 hrs to deliver the 10,000T, and it costs you 100mil, of which you get back 50 mil in salary; however, if you wnt to carry on at level 5, you only have to deliver 5,000T each week, which takes about 2 hours, so not exactly a full-time job.

After the first week, which effectively cost 50 mil, you have to pay 50 mil each week for the stuff to deliver, but you get it all back in salary.

The level 2 is worth doing if you just want to do a couple of evenings bounty hunting, but these PP bonuses aren't worth bothering with since we got pirate massacre missions, which pay relatively so much (500mil per trip) that any time spent doing the deliveries to get the PP bonus would be better spent killing pirates for massacre missions.

Pirate massacre missions are easier than normal bounty hunting because you can do them in a low RES and still get 500 mil per trip.

That's true. I currently have more credits than I can use, so I bought two more carriers and put 1B in all 3 carrier accounts so that I don't have to play to pay the 15M/wk maintenance fees. Haven't been playing for the last 10 months cuz of temporary medical disability but I can finally see when that will end and I can fly once more.

Seems that the only opposition to the idea of npc crew manning seats being able to concurrently pilot slf's or operate turrets etc ...or even have NPC wingmen flying your other ships is that it will siphon more income from the player.

That's not really a good reason. Since credits are basically worthless, we must be playing for reasons beyond just getting credits. These reasons would potentially benefit from npc crew having all of the same benefits as human crew. There would still be an advantage to having human crew, obviously...but most players dont play with human crew so npc crew (or wingmen) would fill a gap that currently exists.

It's not going to happen since this has been a request by a large amount of players for as long as the wing feature has existed. But it's a valid want that should exist.

I would be ok, just to see them in the seats, and to get situational comments. Probably what the EDDI tool currently does - like reading comms, ...
