Find salvage?

Hi,

I thought I'd go hunting for some rare artifacts and other fun stuff to collect on my carrier and so I've been dropping into degraded emissions (3).
Is this the best place to look for stuff like that or are there other better places?

The only thing I've found so far is some personal effects and encrypted data and those come up as stolen. Will I be able to hand them in at search and rescue or will I be shot at sight?

It depends on what you're looking for. I usually just go after High Grade Emissions.

Diplomatic bags, hostages and political prisoners cannot be found on private couriers. I believe rare artwork is also on this list, otherwise just a bad example.

Rare artwork is very 'rare'

You can not find it on Private courier services

They can be stolen from megaships by hatch breaking them. You might have to wait a while though for your goodies.

There are a few things you will not be able to get Legally.
Yet the FC Market says you can. Its either a mistake by Fdev or nobody has been able to find them.
My spreadsheet is linked on the forum post that was linked above.
As well as locations for the places I have searched and found Legal Salvage, It has a list of things I have been unable to find Legally. Some of them Cmdrs definitely used to be able to find but they no longer can after updates etc.
