Finding black holes w/ basic discovery scanner?

Hey everyone, I'm out at Mintaka, wanting to see if they've changed much of black holes sinces the release, and after viewing a couple of videos I wanted to go see for myself.

BUT, being the impatient fool that I am, I left with only a basic discovery scanner, and am having some trouble locating the black hole. Any ideas? Advice on finding a black hole the hard way?

Look for a 1976 Chevrolet Vega and watch all the money in the universe be sucked up to it then you will have found it.

Black holes are damnably hard to spot , but in gamma 1 iirc they would show up as white dots if you got far enough out, dunno if that's been fixed though.
