Finding Generation ships is a major pain.

I've visited some generation ships a few days ago. Used the Cannon's site as a reference: https://canonn.science/codex/cartographics-exploration/

Generation ship Phobos however did not show up. It was the first ship where I had to travel away from a planet to find it. That seems to be the issue according to some threads I've found on this subject. Those "landmark planets" move around an orbit. So if you follow a hint given by a beacon you might end up in the wrong place, because they are outdated. Might be the reason why you end up finding nothing.

Reported it as a bug. Seems that PC players can find them but not all xbox players. Really inconsistent.

Im missing all the ships not orbiting a planet. 6 if im correct.

As an aside, do you have the Sol permit?

Might be worth visiting Sol and seeing if you can see the Voyager probes too.
Maybe there's an xbox-specific issue that's preventing all distant POIs from being displayed?

As far as I know they should show up in the FSS, but they don’t right now = bug.

Hi

This is a bit odd, because I have been in the Alaunus system poking about the new spikey anomaly thingies.... I did a scan with the FSS and on the Signal Analyser tuning bar the Generation Ship Lyacon showed up not far left but the next squiggle to the right as a 'intense' or 'strong' emission. I can't quite remember the exact wording and terminology. But the signal was on it's own and quite distinct on the tuning display. When you focus/magnify the hit, it shows as 'Generation Ship'. hope this helps, but these generation ships are definitely showing up in the FSS.

Here is a picture sequence of the Lyacon contact in the FSS:

I'm on PC and the Voyager Probes certainly DO show up (on PC) on the FSS as they were the very first things I tracked down with the new FSS as I had NEVER before been able to find the damn probes (spent hours and hours hunting)

I know how it would look on the analyzer having scanned the other systems with gen ships in them. But the ones not in orbit aroint a planet do not spawn for me. I made a thread in the xbox section as well but replies are very rare over there.

I'm on PC and....

It looks like this is likely to be an xbox or console-specific issue.

Hopefully the OP will be able to find other PS4/XBox players to check whether they're having the same problem.
If the xbox is just flat-out not reporting distant POIs, that's kinda sucky for xbox players who're hoping to get any "first discovered" tags in the codex.

On a related note, though, there are also a couple of "interstellar phenomena" POIs in Alaunus too.
I wonder if the OP can see those?
