Anyone had any luck finding HGEs in independent systems lately? I'm swimming in Imperial Shielding and Core Dynamics Composites, but it's Heat Radiators and Isolators I need. The Trader's exchange rate is killing me. Somebody has to know a system or two where I can get this stuff easier.

As the galmap doesn't show states try EDDB for systems with outbreak (PI) and boom (PHR) states, I believe it's the state of the faction that "owns" the HGE that determines the drop (+RNG of course) so have a look at the faction states on the RH panel and focus on the one that's likely to spawn the stuff you want.

I had this luck and found:
- Proto Light Alloys in a boom system (<100K population)
- Military Grade Alloys in two HGEs in one instance in anarchy system
Both cases were some kind of non intentional, I had another stuff to do in the systems not related to mats searching, usually I do not scan (before 3.3 I did not equip scaner at all). I just thought "why the heck not?".
