Engineers Finding it hard to understand results.

Ok guys Im not the brightest of people so make allowances please :)

I am finding it hard to understand the outcome of alterations to components and weather I should accept or reject it with engineers.

If you look here http://inara.cz/galaxy-blueprint/13 I see those bars under primary effects.

Now there are 3 bars, power capacity, integrity and heat efficiency.

On the last one (grade 5) it says power capacity 8%-29%, am I correct in thinking an RNG roll will give me between 8% and 29% power capacity?

Also what do the red and blue sliders represent? Are they just a visual representation of the percentage numbers?

Why are the top power plant numbers 8% 29% and the two sets of numbers underneath flipped to -50% -20% and 50% 20% meaning the first number at the top has small number to large number, then underneath large number first then small number?

Finally will power capacity allow me to fit more power hungry items to my ship? Or does it refer to the pool of energy my sys, eng and wep draw from?

Quite frankly I am finding all these engineer modifications hard to understand in what they are altering for me. There are no descriptions that give a definitive answer to what is happening. Why cant there be a description with each roll like.

Your power plant will provide 15% more power enabling you to fit more power hungry items to your ship and will generate 20% less heat but it will take 30% more damage from direct attacks.

Anything which goes blue is an improvement on that attribute
Anything which goes red is reducing performance on that attribute
In your example....yes, you could get 29% more power capacity to enable you to fit more power hungry items
The heat efficiency should improve and the power plant will become easier to destroy

Don't get too worried over the percentages...for some attributes a lower percentage is better, for some a higher percentage is better...just need to see more in the blue and less in the red

The red and blue sliders represent the min and max roll you can get...ideally you want a roll with the blue far right and the red as far from the left as possible.

If you already have an upgrade, the sliders will represent what could happen based on your current upgrade, not as stock
