Newcomer / Intro Finding Power Control systems

Hi,

While I'm trying to work for my Power as part of the preparation phase, it's instructing me to collect trade agreements from controlled systems, but apart from looking at systems being fortified is there any other way to see which systems are Control systems? As far as I can see they don't appear on the Galaxy Map, but I just might be blind oe haven't checked the right box.. Thanks.

I'm no expert on power play but if you visit your power's pages, and look under preparation page, and then view the map, put your mouse over a few systems and the tag should tell you if it's an exploited or a controlled system?

Whether a "control system" is the same a "controlled" system .. is where it gets a bit vague for me lol.

But there do seem to be icons telling you what's happening at each system, anddoing the same exercise but entering the map from the expansion page gives different icons. If you enter the galaxy map directly and choose the Powers view, there are some tick boxes, but might be better to try to familiarise yourself with the icons first?

As you've said, by looking at the map the check box for CONTROL is what I was looking for. It would seem all the white shields are 'controlled systems' which all happen to be getting fortified at the moment. Having looked at the other powers and comparing the control systems with the number of shield icons that all the control systems are displayed on the map as shields.

I was just wondering that if there was a 'control' system that didn't have any activity, would it appear on the map?

no all control systems shows up on the map if you click the "control" check box.
and you can see the control systems of the other powers the same way if you select them in the scroll down menu.
