Finding Stations Far Out?

I'm in Altais, I've been to ETA CEPHEI, and these systems really, really irritate me. The stations simply aren't there. How am I supposed to find the station? It's a 6.2 million populated system, where is the station!

The Galaxy Map isn't always accurate...it can also give misinformation on trading routes and prohibited items.

I got a 446,000 credit fine because the map didn't warn me that personal weapons were a big no-no in that system...harsh old galaxy out there.

Even in undiscovered system you should see the stations. If you don't, it's bugged.

I wonder: do you have to use a discovery scanner to find stations in never-before-explored systems, or is it just celestial bodies that turn up on a scan with stations ALWAYS present? I'm curious as a trader as I'd prefer not to carry around a discovery scanner if I don't need to. But I'm almost - A L M O S T - certain that I've previously discovered stations with a scanner. Pls tell me if I'm wrong if that's the case....

seriously they should warn you before you warp to a system that your cargo is illegal. I think technology is good enough to warn you. How do you expect us to go into that laggy ass system map every time you go to a system to check. I honestly think they should let you load all that data onto your hard drive. I dont care if its 150 gigs! takes forever to load!
