Newcomer / Intro Finding surface random PoI

I have difficulties to find random PoI on surface.

I fly my ship between 2 and 3km Altitude, Arctarus system, radar is broad & wide. 300m/s. I don't find any blue circles.

What am I missing ?

Are you in Odyssey? They are not present in Odyssey. There you have to DSS the planet and you'll get nav markers for any POIs, and a blue map overlay for biological and geological formations.

Does the DSS show random PoI or only persistent ones ?

If you mean stuff like irregular markers and random panetary crash sites then no: you'll need to approach a planet for them to show up on your nav panel.

If I remember correctly - and bear with me as it's been a long time since I webt near one - NSP's do show up on the FSS without you having to detail scan them.
