Finding system in Galaxy Map

IS there a simple way of finding a start system when in galaxy map. I couldn't see a search facility.

Finding anything by eye is a royal pain in the backside.


For example, I plan on exploring soon, but want to benchmark the safe systems to plot a return to.

But that means finding them to begin with...

When you're in the galactic map there's a search bar under one of the tabs.

Start system as in the systems a new Cmdr spawns into? First, they're not safer than any other, they're easy target for gankers in Open; second, you cna probably find those with Google.

As for the rest, there are filters in the Map tab of the Galmap.

I think that's a typo, I think OP meant 'star system'.
