Fined for Jettisoned cargo???

My stupid collector limpet picked up illegal cargo despite it being marked as ignore! I jettison it, along comes a cop out of nowhere and fines ME for jettisoning it! No "Well done fella for not being tempted to take that illegal cargo...".

I look forward to playing after each update, but with each update comes some new stupid rule or bug!

You already picked it up. They saw you throwing it out again when they approached to check on who is picking up all the stolen goods. And then they found you. Just be happy they didn't first scan you, fine you for possession and then fine you for littering again when you jettison it. Happened to me once. Was quite embarrassing.

Aren't there two options when you dump cargo?
One of them you retain ownership?
Sounds like this could be the problem.

I really would like an 'ignore illegal' option for the collectors.

By that logic, the cop would've seen my limpet pick it up and me spit it back out. Again, I should get kudos for not keeping it, not a fine for jettisoning something already dumped. I'd already boosted 10km away before the cop arrived, how did he even know it was me who jettisoned it with everyone else in the area?? No way he saw it from over 10km away...

Sounds like this could be the problem.

Try it - they removed one (though it's there sometimes, like when mining). And collector will often recollect now. All a bit broken, but the op broke the law, so it was right they were punished. Death to litter!

You can choose what types of cargo you want your limpets to ignore in the contacts panel.

I've seen someone dump 700t of biowaste inside a station. Got fined 70'000Cr for it, but totally worth it!

More like picking up a strange looking baggie off the floor, realising it's drugs and throwing it back on the floor. Cops in the next street smell the drugs, come racing around the corner and because I'm the only one on the street, blame me for dropping them!
