Finger trouble with Xeno pulse scanner

Hi all.
I thought I'd go and take a look at the reported human escape pods on a Thargoid Titan, but when I got to Taranis, I was unable to get the scanner to operate at all.

I've used them before at this location, but I admit, it's entirely possible I was doing something daft. I was in Analytic mode, I had the weapon ports open, plenty of available energy and nothing happened.

It didn't begin to fill up the energy bar, just..... nothing. :-/

From what I have read, the update to scanning for escape pods is automatic? Not that it should effect whether or not I can scan.

Any suggestions? (....of a charitable nature) :)

I was a little confused at first, but the pulse-wave xeno scanner actually works a little differently than the pulse wave analyzer. You need to hold down the trigger for it to pulse further.

Though I’m not entirely sure it matters as much as being in the correct spot - I can’t personally say for certain, but the holding chambers of the Titan may be on its ‘underside’ near the maw only. My first(and thus far only) test run of the scanner had me approaching the maw side by pure way of where I arrived from, and basically immediately locate a few storage chambers… even though I fired off a pulse that only went out for about a kilometer.

So if it’s not the first issue, check your placement. I also have some reason to suspect firing the scanner off near a storage chamber has the potential to trigger the Titan into going alert(though it won’t actually start blasting you into oblivion unless you are too hot… in which case the local Thargoids will already be on you anyway).

Though I say potential as I’m not completely sure yet - just relatively, as I was undetected and the Titan threw out its turrets on first pulse, but no Thargoids came by to shoot me, and the exit points were inactive at that moment.
