Finished First Station now the fun begins

So I got small Station set up LHS 3210 doing it solo wasn't too hard CMM composites were a pain until local bases started showing 2000+ available.

Shieldless cutter with 792 cargo helped, however once Station created had to fly home and change ships as no large pad. Took around 3 days 4hrs a day play time to get all the material and 8k from star meant lots of SCO .


Now starting adding additional outposts to get points so can start a Coriolis as home base for the fleet.

In another thread, I was told that after the 1st station is built the colonising ship will leave and a colonisation platform will take it's place and you can dock large ships there. Now the OP is saying otherwise.

I don't know who to believe anymore

The colonization ship does indeed leave. Planetary bases are started from your own ship, and I assume the c. ship returns if you build an orbital. There is no colonization platform.

Ok, I reread the post in the other thread and the "colonisation platform" is actually the construction site of the new orbital station.

And I think I misunderstood the OP of this thread too, he changed to a med ship because once the outpost is completed and the colonisation ship left, he couldn't dock in his brand new station because it doesn't have a large landing pad.
