I'm a long time player, but recently trying to get into anti-xeno combat. I'm on PC, and I use an X-52 and the mouse and keyboard.
Several issues are coming up.
1) After a previous update, I can't see the fire groups cycle on the screen. I can see "A" and "B", etc., but I can't see the various weapons, utilities and other functions associated with them as I cycle through in SC, for example. There's no reason for that to go away, even if the particular function can't be used at the moment.
2) Heat sinks and the Thargoid Pulse Neutralizer can have a keybind on the keyboard, but the caustic sink does not, a gross oversight.
3) I totally get the W1 and W2 limitation, but with all the functions needed to get by, more keybind options are needed, or more weapon binds (3 and 4) while in combat mode.
For instance, the xeno multi-limpet controller has three functions, but only two can in a fire group. I have to have the 3rd function in another fire group, which means I'll be forever cycling through to get full functionality.
The whole thing needs to be looked at and revamped with all these new functions and weapons and HUD modes. A Quality Assurance team for a real piloted craft would iron out the unnecessary complications to streamline the pilot workload.
