RCT 3 PC Fireworks Editor thoughts for Improvement

DavidB,

Could you please ellaborate if there are any plans to repair major parts of the fireworks mixmaster including the particle editor?

Since Wild Patch's #1 and #2, I have totally lost the abillity to create new particle effects from scratch (by clicking the new firework button)...

It appears the fish-eye preview does not refresh all of the attributes, therefore you are not seeing the entire firework as it should be in real time. To be honest, I liked it when you had the test firework shooting off from the bottom of the map itself. It helped me judge height and made modifying the look and feel much easier.

I suggest that there be a way to remove fish-eye for more advanced users like me so we can see better.

Also, we need a way to repair our older fireworks that had "burn" added to them. I made over 50 fireworks before Soaked came out and some of them had the non-implemented BURN attribute enabled. To be honest, BURN just hurts my eyes and my FPS... there should be a way to remove this from a batch of fireworks files or disable it in the game itself.

There are no plans to change/repair/whatever the firework editor, but I'll look into it.

On the fireworks issues.

I don't use this a lot as I have found it often has lagged the game for my own usages, however the authority on its usage is probably DeanAU as he has done the most with the fireworks in the RCT3 platform. Perhaps Dan could weigh in on the issues he was having.

Actually I can relate to this problem. Its great having the laser and water effects, but I've had to go back to RCT3 vanilla to create my fireworks and then reinstall the expansions. I just can't see what I'm actually creating in the fisheye view. [shrugs]

Just to clarify, Dean[AU] actually did not make very many firework effects himself at all. Many of the fireworks came from people like me and the other RCTPyro vetrans. For a long time (before Dean's site crashed) I actually had the highest upload count for fireworks particles in the entire community (had over 50+ effects prior to Soaked and Wild)

I humbly Gib...

Stand corrected

Too bad we can't also save the animal shows in the mix master, that would be cool and another thing to exchange. Oh well. Se La Vie

Yeah it would be nice to be able to save animal shows even though those are VERY limited in terms of actions that can be performed however.

Well, if Frontier needs a reason to continue supporting this feature...[/url]

Needs a reason? If mixmaster were removed from future Theme Park development games created by Frontier I would bawl like a baby! :(

I made 3! Yeah but kudos to all you vets, you made the site to what is kinda is today :D!

Yes, this is a verry annoying bug... Or whatever it is. I hate having to save my firework and re-open it to see the particle that I added. With Soaked, the viewer refreshed and I could make a whole firework without having to save once. Please fix this!
