I have been playing since release. Ganked a couple of time even done conflict zone with other commanders. Try to make sure I see who they support before chosing faction but you can never guarantee not opposing a cmdr.
I fly either vulture or python both renown for not being able to chase so when ever I get the upper hand they normally leg it.
Today was at an anarchy nav. 2 viper and a sidey. Nobody wanted to wing up so was going to leave when one of the vipers is going after the sidey. Scan him and sidey is clean so engage viper. He runs and I chase. Quickly realise its not going to happen so return and takeout a ttarget or two. I notice on the radar that he never left so sure enough he engages while im busy, but I see him coming so not completely caught out.
Im surprised how manoeuvrable my python is. This time he got too close and failed to disingage appropriately allowing me to hold him on target. Boom.
Felt kinda guilty but it did look like he was after a newbie and he did rengage me.
Next thing I know the sidey is taking on a harmless npc python with no bounty.Perhaps he Initiated the viper.
So to the viper pilot if that's what happened I am truley sorry the sidey even grazed me once with friendly fire. But you did rengage. I did not attack you when you returned as I waited to see how it played out.
But hey its dangerous out there.
